High School students urge others to 'Be Kind'
Kindness has been shown to cause a ripple effect. Research shows if you show kindness to one person, that person will show kindness to four people and those four people will show kindness to four more people and so on. These exchanges of kindness can change the world.
Lower Dauphin High School's Connections Club, in partnership with Lower Dauphin Communities That Care (LD CTC) believe in this “be kind” attitude and have launched a Kindness Initiative focused on intentional acts of kindness in our schools, workplaces and the community. We are challenging kids of all ages and adults in our community to simply be kind to one another ‒ to intentionally be kind ‒ by offering up a smile, giving a high five, befriending someone new, or in any way you like!
You can support our Be Kind movement by purchasing a t-shirt for only $8.00. You can also donate the cost of a t-shirt to provide one for a child who cannot afford one. Download the t-shirt order form here.
All shirts will be delivered by the end of March in time for our April Kindness Calendar! Each day students will be encouraged to do something kind for someone else.
Please go to the LD CTC Facebook page to "Like" them and so you can follow along on this kindness journey!
All Lower Dauphin schools have been invited to participate and we can't wait to see what they come up with! Coming soon will be Be Kind buttons and yard signs!
